02About Our Services
- ●3TDI Long Life offers specialised ECU recalibration, diagnostics and DPF/EGR deactivation services, primarily for EA897-series engines (VW Group 3.0 TDI).
- ●Information on this site is for informational purposes only and does not replace a technical inspection by a qualified specialist.
- ●Service descriptions are for general orientation. Specific conditions for each service are agreed individually before work begins.
03Booking & Formation of Contract
- ●Making a booking through the site constitutes an offer from the customer to enter into a service contract.
- ●A contract is formed only upon our explicit confirmation — sent by email or telephone.
- ●Bookings have "Pending confirmation" status until we explicitly confirm them.
- ●We reserve the right to decline or propose an alternative time for bookings where we do not have the necessary capacity.
04Pricing & Payment
- ●Service prices are provided during an individual consultation before work begins.
- ●All prices include VAT where applicable.
- ●Payment is due upon completion of the service unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
- ●Accepted payment methods: cash, bank transfer (terms on request).
- ●If we cancel a confirmed appointment, no cancellation fee is due.
05Cancellation & Rescheduling
- ●Customers may cancel or reschedule a confirmed appointment up to 24 hours before the service time without any charge.
- ●Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment or no-shows may incur an administrative fee of up to 30 BGN.

06Technical Requirements for Recalibration
- ●The service is only applicable to factory-unmodified and unencrypted ECU software.
- ●The customer must provide accurate and complete vehicle information (VIN, engine code, modification history).
- ●Providing inaccurate information releases 3TDI Long Life from any liability for the outcome of the service.
- ●We reserve the right to decline the service if diagnostic examination reveals conditions that preclude safe completion.
07Recalibration Warranty
- ●Warranty period: 12 months from the date of service.
- ●Scope: the warranty covers only the oil pressure correction — it does not cover pre-existing or subsequent mechanical damage.
- ●Making a warranty claim: email [email protected] with a description of the issue and proof of service.
- ●The warranty is void if: third parties interfere with the ECU after service; mechanical damage unrelated to oil pressure occurs; there is misuse, accidental damage or normal wear; ECU faults existed before the service.
- ●This warranty does not limit your statutory rights under Bulgarian and EU consumer law.
08DPF / EGR Services — Legal Notice
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Deactivating the DPF (diesel particulate filter) and/or EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) system affects the vehicle's type approval for use on public roads in the European Union and may constitute a violation of Regulation (EC) No 715/2007 (Euro 6 standard).
- ●3TDI Long Life offers DPF/EGR deactivation services EXCLUSIVELY for vehicles intended for off-road, closed-circuit and motorsport use.
- ●The customer is solely responsible for compliance with applicable national and EU legislation regarding exhaust system modifications.
- ●A vehicle with deactivated emission control systems may not lawfully be driven on public roads in most EU member states.
- ●Customers must consult a qualified legal or regulatory professional in their country before ordering this service.
- ●3TDI Long Life accepts no liability for regulatory fines, de-registration or any legal consequences arising from operating such a vehicle on public roads.
09Consumer Rights (EU)
- ●These terms do not limit your mandatory rights under EU and Bulgarian consumer law.
- ●EU consumers are entitled to protection under Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights and applicable national law.
- ●Statutory right of conformity: for defects in the service identified within 2 years, you are entitled to repair, re-performance or a price reduction.
- ●Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): if we cannot resolve your complaint directly, you may contact the Bulgarian Consumer Protection Commission (CPC): www.kzp.bg, or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
10Complaints Procedure
- ●Step 1: Send a description of the issue to [email protected].
- ●Step 2: We will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days.
- ●Step 3: We will propose a resolution within 14 days.
- ●Step 4: If you are not satisfied — you have the right to use ADR (see above) or seek judicial remedy.
11Intellectual Property
- ●All original site content (text, images, logos, graphics) is protected by copyright and is the property of 3TDI Long Life.
- ●Copying, distributing or using content without explicit written permission is prohibited.
- ●Technical engine data has been compiled from publicly available sources and is provided for informational purposes only.
12Limitation of Liability
- ●Site information is provided in good faith for informational purposes only. We make no warranties as to its completeness or accuracy.
- ●We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site.
- ●These limitations do not affect your mandatory rights under EU and Bulgarian consumer law.
13Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- ●These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria.
- ●All disputes will preferably be resolved by alternative dispute resolution (see Complaints Procedure).
- ●In the absence of an out-of-court resolution, the competent court is the Sofia District Court or the court of the consumer's domicile (at the consumer's election, where EU consumer law applies).
- ●EU consumers retain the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which they reside.
14Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Use. For material changes, registered users will be notified by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
